Electric Blue vs Electric Orange Hermit Crabs

Looking at getting one of these guys from liveaquaria.com to keep my hair algae in check, and I can't spot any major differences between these guys other than their color. Is one hardier than the other, or better for a reef, better temperament, etc.... I'm leaning towards a blue, but I wanted to come here and ask first.

There isn't much difference between them besides appearance.

This has not been my experience with them.

I must have the best behaved hermit crabs ever, or perhaps I have an adequate amount of homes for them to try out and leave the snails alone, either way.... never understood the hate, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this experience.

Crabs in general are opportunist eaters . When they run out of one thing they find something else , even you prized coral . If you find that one that goes rogue its easy to grab and place him in the sump so his new job is to keep that clean!

I started with a healthy population of crabs and snails. I provided homes for the hermits and fed plenty. Once the crabs ate all the snails, they started dying themselves. Now I have neither. I need to place an order for a new cuc now that I think of it.

If you like to look at them. The blues are better looking IMO. I don't have any electronic oranges, but I have a few small electric blues. I also like the Halloween hermits. Never had any issue with any of them, except when a snail lands on it's back and I don't flip it over in time. Normally Astrea snails.
