I think fire worms have killed my scallop.. it hasn't been open in 2 days. And today I see this. Are they predatory or just scavenger and scallop was dying on its own?

The latter. They are just clean up crew. Flame scallops require you to be dosing phytoplankton or something in the water column since they are filter feeders and considered expert level care based solely on the fact that they require extra care with feeding.

Flame scallops rarely make it. Really best to not even buy them, just throwing your money down the poo shoot.

I was target feeding with phytoplankton and zooplankton. I don't think it was a healthy scallop when I purchased last week. It's tissue looked to be receding but it was the only scallop in store so I had no others to compare it to. Well that's a shame.
