Is it possible to install a new electrical outlet in this box?

Yes it is depending on the current load of the circuit.
Take an amp meter (clip style) and check the amperage.
If it is minimal then you can add a receptacle on it.

Thanks. I have no electrical experience at all so I will probably hire someone to do it. Thanks for the help again.
 
Actually it doesn't matter what the electrical draw is on the existing wires. The code for residential does not specify a limit for number of receptacles on a circuit. That said, it would be wise to not overload it. This is not a hard project to do yourself but if you are uncomfortable then of course hire someone. Probably will cost around $100.
