I use jebow OW50 powerhead. They come with this adapter:

It works great, but I need another one for a Jebao pump that lost its original adapter.

I have this adapter that I used for my AI hydras. It fits in the socket, but the pump will not work when using this adapter vs the original one it came with.

Please tell me why so I can buy one and not worry about it not working with my specific pump.

This is the Ai hydra adapter that doesn’t work with the pump for some reason.

It’s not an adapter, it’s a transformer. Converts electrical input into electrical output. You will need to get one that satisfies the pumps electrical requirements. The lighting one does not and therefore your pump doesn’t work.

I can't read the input/output specs for the one in the top photo....too dark.

Are they all the same as those in the second?

You will need to get the pumps transformer specs and find one that matches it. Amazon should probably carry it.

The AI adapter wont work, jebao pumps are 24vdc output and the AI is 36v output. Find a 24vdc output transformer.

Edit: previous post beat me to it!
Thank you.

This might sound dumb, please don’t judge me. I thought having more power than needed wouldn’t affect the pump, but having less than needed would not allow it to work. lol

Nah, doesn't work that way.

The point of sale/neg on the cord end could even be flipped. A few volts isnt a big deal but 36v into a 24v setup can make funny smells and let magic out at the internal component level.

Thank you.

Final question (I already ordered the correct transformer from Amazon)

Where can I find the jebao controller? I’m missing this as well.

Agree- its a transformer- You want adapter

In this instance, youre better off buying a whole new unit. with piecing together you are paying more than price of new.
Jebao are nice WHEN they run and other than amazon and ebay, parts and support are hard to obtain

Thank you.

Crap, if your need that too as said already, just buy another ow50 and you have spare parts.

Thank you.

This works for Amps.

If the pump wants 24V/2amps and you plug in a 24V/4A power supply you won't have any problems. The pump will only draw the amount of current (amps) it wants. You have to match voltage though, most devices won't work if you're throwing wonky voltages at them.

You need an adapter that outputs exactly:
* 24 volts
* at 2.75 amps
* at 66 watts
* the connector tip is POSITIVE + on the inside connection and NEGATIVE- on the outside

.

Thank you.

You can find the controllers usually on ebay, be prepared for sticker shock tho. Your prolly going to be at or close to 50% of cost with piecing it back together.

They should be fine with any 24 V transformer at 2.75A or over.

Watts is just a product of current multiplied by voltage.

The orientation of the connector matters though, you're completely correct. I think they are pretty standardized though?
