From the last gfci thread I can see there are a lot of questions around this.

Is there enough interest for me to host a google hangout / youtube live stream answering electrical questions people have?

Please select a day(s) that would work best for you.

I am thinking also of getting a general outlet tester that includes GFCI as I do not want to rely on the outlet tester. Your thoughts?

If you want to spend the money then sure. If you bought a quality GFCI and are confident in your wiring, then I would not worry about it, since the test button on the GFCI connects the hot line to ground to test.

The general outlet tester will do the same thing, an advantage though is that you can take it anywhere. It would also be useful to test outlets that are downstream from your GFCI.

Panel -> GFCI -> Regular recepticles protected by upstream GFCI -> Tester. This would ensure that wiring was correct at those outlets as well.

I will answer, most electrical questions people have, not just GFCI.

Hi, can electricity transfer through plastic. Meaning, if I dip a plastic cup into a tank with leaking voltage without touching my skin to to the water, can I still get electrocuted? Also if I was wearing a plastic glove. Thank you
