Electrical question/ Apex EB832/ A/C

Quick question. I had to get a window A/C unit because of rising tank temps. Currently, it's easiest to plug it into the EB832 (no extension cord needed) and the closest outlet has my two EB832s plugged into that. It's a 5000 BTU unit, so not that powerful, but it says to plug it into a 15AMP outlet. I believe the max the EB832 can handle per outlet is 7AMPs? It says it is drawing 3.5AMPS for the outlet it is on. So my question is as long as it doesn't exceed 7AMPs am I ok to leave it plugged in where it is?

It depends on how long you want that outlet to last in your EB832. The start up current of the AC compressor is easily double it's normal draw. This will wear out the relay controlling the outlet eventually.

Thanks, that's what I was worried about especially hearing all the posts about blown outlets. Guess the ugly extension cord it is, at least for the summer.
