Kinda a loaded question...
Electronic as in a probe? (pH, ORP, Conductivity)
Electronic as in a color meter? (Hanna individually).. or APEX. GHL?..

There are some open source options out there @Borat

Or A DIY Alkalinity Test: By Randy Holmes-Farley

I've had my eye on the Hach SL1000 though I don't think I could ever justify the cost...

I agree with others that the question is pretty vague, but I use and love the Hanna checkers. I use them for ULR Phosphate, HR Nitrate, Alkalinity, and the copper checker is great if you qt and treat fish with copper. I've read mostly bad things about the calcium one because it is too complicated, and never waste your money on the LR Nitrate.

???? Whats wrong w em

IMO, it's a poor design that is freakishly sensitive to tiny traces of calcium in the blank. I'm not sure if that's the primary problem or not, but it gives users far more headaches than other Hanna checkers.

No, it read low from that issue. Little traces of calcium in the blank make the kit think there is a higher absorbance in the blank that needs to be subtracted out from the tank water reading..
