Elegance coral detaching from skeleton?

@vetteguy53081 its gotten wayyyyy bigger over the day. gonna try the dip first thing tomorrow. i feel so bad for it.. he used to look like the first pic, second pic is him right now. looks like he’s literally going to explode…

yeah i figured. this is my second attempt at keeping an elegance. lost my blue tip last month and now my pink.. kinda super bummed gonna give it a while before i try again. still gonna dip to see if i can save it but expectations are def low

I feel for you, the elegance coral is what got me into the hobby several years ago, love them.
I am wondering if its from Indo?
Indo elegance seem to be suffering from the disease.
The disease will also spread to others and there is no known cure.
I have found that Aussie elegance corals do much better, don’t seem to suffer from elegance coral disease, not like Indo does.
I ask where they come from, if they tell me Indo, I will no longer purchase them.
I only purchase Australian now.
It’s unfortunate, I would still try to save it, never know, may get lucky.

dude same the whole reason i got into coral is because of the elegance. i love them. the blue tip was indo, the pink tip is aussie. at least that’s what i was told. hoping for the best, prepared for the worst

been their before. many times. They start out like a wild animal for a time and in 2 weeks to 2 months, then they start down hill from there . The one in the pic looked this way after 24 hours of introduction and 2 months latter it started to bail. 6' X 12" in size. note if they over inflate and tentacles are very very short this is likely a sign of their disease. ( jardinae I think) Always fatal to this coral Only.

I believe I'm having the same issues. Its separating from the skeleton as well. Does this look like its being caused by to much flow? I moved it to a lower flow spot in the tank. Is this something that should be removed to prevent it from spreading? The upper portion appears to be happy and is accepting food. The bottom portion seem dead with an open mouth and detaching from Skelton.

PH - 8.2
Ammonia - 0.1 ppm
Nitrite - 0 PPM
Nitrate - 16 ppm
KH - 156 ppm
Phosphate - .2 ppm
Calcium - 421ppm
Mag - 1380 ppm

This Coral has a fatal disease that only affects Elegance. Am Sorry
