I’m new to this hobby, and I had this elegance coral for about 5 months, it was the healthiest looking coral I had among all. Started last week, part of its flesh looks like it was eating away. It has those spider silk like thing on its flesh and 1/3 of its tentacles are melted away.
Here are my water chemistry

Cal 436
Mag 1400
Ph 8.5
Salinity 1.024
Thanks for the help

Sadly, this is happening to mine right now as well...Needing same advice. Watching thread.

are you running carbon or a protein skimmer? Could be something in the water carbon could remove, protein skimmer just helps with o2 levels for this. a freshwater dip along with those may help

Are you spot feeding it at least 2x a week with mysis shrimp or meaty food? Also what are your nitrates and phosphates?

thanks everyone for the help. I did an revive dip I see my girlfriends hair wrap around the coral skeleton and flesh. That was the reason it was dying. The last couple day it shed a lot of its dead flesh. Now it’s slowly healing.

Hi, I also have the same problem. He was fine but overnight I noticed how some wounds on the record were coming out of white stuff. Then this spread to some points of the tentacles, which no longer open. It doesn't seem to me to be brown jelly. Have you solved with fresh water baths?
