I see people saying that they do better on a sand bed, and in most pictures I've seen, that is where they are.

I thought about just putting it on the sand bed but i dont feel that this would be the most ideal placement.

I have mine laying in the crevice of a rock but you could use the two part putty to attach the base

I wouldn't attach it to rock. The elegance coral maybe irritated by the rock over time. My elegance coral is mounted to a stand. I can take pics if you are interested.

Doing excellent for over two years. i had it in many diff locations it been here for about a year under 6 x54 t5

I have had the most luck with it being on the sandbed under at least 250w..... They love intense light and very low flow..... I also run my skimmer one day on and three off..they don't like perfect water.... I also feed oyster feast and goniopower....if people don't agree, that's ok because I have managed to keep an elegance for two years

, Update, elegance is on the sand bed looking good, I’mgoing to try to keep this updated with pictures through its development andsize, I have confirmed that it is an Australian elegance ( Being that theskeleton is cleanly chopped) so far it is looking great and eating mysis shrimplike a champ.

It looks great! It looks like your clown likes it too!! It should do well under that lighting. I had mine under the same when I got it.

BTW, I looked at my elegance and the base is just glued to a piece of acrylic. I didn't think it was picture worthy.

The snowflakes love the elegance, I saw them bringing itfood this morning, made me so proud lol. The acrylic base does sound like a goodidea I may try that later on, I really don’t want to bother it unless I have tofor a while.
