Hey I am about to purchase a huge elegance. Like take both your hands together. Need some advice in placement. Plan is to prop up the left side and made a tunnel with that Christmas tree Monti mine on to of it to the left. Then the elegance would take the place of the green Monti on the left. Thoughts?

Wow that auto corrected poorly. Green Monti goes further left. Making a tunnel with Rock and Monti on top. Then elegance takes place of green Monti

bottom of the tank at around 200 par is where mine has been for 6 years now... be ready if that thing is stable it will get huge and sting every coral around it. Idk any corals that can sting as bad as an elgance in full swing

Galaxia coral is the most aggressive coral I've ever seen. With that said the elegance is not feather weight and will hold its own. To fuel growth make sure they are getting plenty of food. They love to eat

Thanks for the feed back guys. I'll have to find a place for that Duncan on the bottom left

Little update. I got the elegance. But it's wayyyy to big for that section. Will have to put it in the center at the bottom and move the scoly

I was gonna ask what you meant by "put your hands together" for size before...I can palm a basketball in each hand so i expected it to be huge lol. i posted a pic of mine in another thread last night gotta find it

On the bottom near center under moderate light and medium water flow . (see mine below)
Elegance corals require a moderately high amount of light to support photosynthesis. But that doesn’t translate to strong light. LEDs, fluorescent, or other reef-caliber lights will be sufficient. You want to aim for a PAR of about 80-120. Also important is water flow which should be moderate.
You don’t want the flow to be too hard or too soft. Just right means the tentacles flow gently, like leaves in a light wind. Too little and elegance corals will not thrive. Too much flow and you risk tearing the delicate polyps.
The proper flow brings nutrients to the polyps, ensuring they remain nourished. And you’ll see the typical “sweeping” movement as they drift in the current.
The elegance coral is photosynthetic, which means commensal photosynthetic algae called zooxanthellae that live inside its body tissue and provide nutrition by harvesting the energy in light – much like a house plant. They also benefit from regular feedings. with foods such as krill, Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or small pieces of fish, and shrimp.
Elegance corals ARE prone to elegance coral syndrome (ECS). If your coral has this disease, you’ll see swelling around the oral disc and unopened polyps or a white mucus coating.

this one is shoved between rocks and the wall and still extends like this. i wud put it far away if u want to keep that scoly, if its anything like mine, 4 in by 4 in base, 12 by 12 fully extended
