i bought my elegance a couple months ago and like everyone else it lasted about a month shriveled up did the brown jelly thing. I prolly should of pulled it but i moved it to a dark low flow corner where my cleaner shrimp hides out. It stayed there for idk a month or so while i battled dinos. Once i got the dinos taken care of i moved the elegance back to the middle of my tank in medium flow and high light. Lo and behold its tentacles are coming back and its eaten twice... i cant find much info on these things recovering so im still not getting my hopes up. Heres a pic maybe yall can tell if its recovering or if its just wishful thinking on my part. I wrote this up on my phone i apologize

Bump

By the way, how big is the skeleton? Depending on how much you feed it the polyp itself can be 4 to 5 times larger. Mine has a base of around 4 inches and the polyp is around 14 inches across if I turn the flow down. I feed it every two days.

The skeleton is about 3 inches and when it was healthy it was huge! It was my favorite coral but i just kinda wrote it off when it went down hill. Im really hoping it bounces back.

Looks very good. Note the present water conditions and if naything happens again, refer to current tanks readings as a reference point should something with parameters be off track

Give it time itll bounce back. I got lucky and didn't really no what was happening. I just got one and put it in my tank. 9 months later and its added a head and gotten very big.
Mine goes through moods i say. Here it is hungry and eating lol

They like food but dont over feed. And if you have snail stop getting them. Itll just kill them and they will die. They are mean fyi. Bigger they get the bigger bullies they are. Mine is in ita corner all alone cause it attacked my favia.
Good luck mate

Looking nuch happier boss happy to see that

Why elegance coral has been with me for a couple of months. I dipped it in straight hydrogen peroxide three days ago due to algae issue and it survived that too.

The skeleton is about 1” or so wide (fragged) and I have never seen it wide open like you guys’. Is it depending on the width of the skeleton?
