I've wanted an elegance coral for a while now, and did some research into them, watched various videos about them. Yesterday I saw a couple of Australian Elegance at my LFS and a particular one caught my eye and I knew I had to have it. It opened up nicely yesterday, but when I came home from dinner and was feeding I noticed the oral disk had swollen up a bit. I assumed it was due to feeding, wanting food, and didn't pay any more attention to it. Today the oral disk was still swollen, and I noticed the mouth excreting a brownish substance.
Ive heard of Elegance Coral Syndrome, but I can't tell if that's what this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd really love to get this coral back to normal. I watched videos and read up on reddit and forums about other people with problems, but I'm not sure if it's too much light, stress from moving, ECS, or what. I've moved it to the back corner of the tank shaded a bit by the filter, where as before i had it in the front corner. Going to see if that helps any. If anyone could help that would be amazing, as I'd really like to keep this coral healthy and stress free.
