I just made a post on reddit but figured I should make a post here as well.
I’ve had this elegance for a few months and it’s been thriving but I recently cleaned out my wave maker and cut some of the spokes to increase the flow in my tank.
I also got an ai prime and had it up for 2 days before I accidentally snapped the light off the mount so I went back to the stock light for the past week while I wait for the new mount to ship. Prior to introducing the prime, I actually left the white lights on for about 2 hours longer than usual and seem to have burned my acan pretty bad.
Nitrates, ammonia, ph, and salinity have all remained consistent as I check weekly before each water change. I have a feeling that the tentacles are retracted due to the increased flow or the inconsistency in the light switch. I also tried to wiggle the coral around in the water yesterday to try and dislodge any potential sand grains stuck within the flesh.
Any advice on how to treat this issue would be greatly appreciated!
