Had in tank for a week noticed what looked like a pest so just dipped and put back in tank

Doesn't look happy. How old is your tank? Current parameters? Probably better to start it in low light and flow not middle open tank.

Do you think maybe it had a pest and is now gone because it’s slowly opening up?
I had it in low flow for that week but it was ‘ asking’ for more. Tank is 2.5years old parameters are all good (KH9, ca 370/380 rest is within normal as well)

Elegance corals, hit or miss, like Helio-Fungia, can just go “poof”.
Neither one of these have I been lucky enough to keep for more than 6 months over 40 years.

Ok thank you that’s reassuring that it’s not affecting other corals!

Your calcium is low. I had my elegance out in the open like yours and it closed. I moved it under a ledge arch with partial light and shade and it's bigger then a football now. As previously mentioned. They are tricky corals to keep. What is your nitrates and phosphate level?
