I have a good sized pink face wrasse in my tank (210 gal) and he minds his own business but his tank mates are mostly big and aggressive (2 triggers, yellow tang, orange spot rabbit, 3 foot zebra moray, three chromis, two clowns. Would I be crazy to add a elegant coris with the pink face? The elegant is a couple years old. I know the reputation for thalamosa wrasses but I’ve never seen it chase anything. Thoughts?

How do the sizes compare between the 2 wrasses? If the newcomer is bigger, it should be ok, but stilp use caution.

They are both about 5 inches. Do you think the other aggressive fish in my tank will help deflect the wrasse-on-wrasse aggression?

Not necessarily. Aggression between closely related fish is usually worse than aggression between unrelated fish.

Agreed. Adding a new Wrasse with an Established Thassaloma is a real gamble. @ the OP you could try an acclimation box for the Elegant Coris and see how the Pink Faced responds.
