So, at the end of last year I found an elephant snail in my tank. It must have come in on another snail when it was tiny. First time I noticed it it was about the size of a half dollar. For the last couple months I couldn't find it. Turned up in my sump today. Only way there is thru plumbing. Must have squeezed into the overflow and made its way down the return. Any opinions? Should I just leave it in the sump or put it back in the tank? I can't find any info that says it's a threat to anything, but I'd hate to have it clog my plumbing. Apparently it can't go wherever it wants.

Great CUC, we have one also that comes and goes lol

Put him in the display if you'd like. As you said he will go where he wants haha

Elephant snail loves the sump. I've moved him back to the display twice and he heads right back thru the plumbing to the sump. He's been in the sump for a month now. He's the size of a silver dollar so I'd prefer he stays out of the pipes now.
