I ordered my first elf yesterday for my 2 kids. I was very excited about doing it but after reading so many stories I'm not so sure I want to start this tradition lol

I swear I would gladly wish away the rest of my youngest child's innocence if I could just pick that elf up and throw it in the lit fireplace.

I HATE it so much! He literally woke me up this morning turning on the lights and coming into the bedroom looking for it. He's almost 10! I see the light at the end of the tunnel...though I guess it's more likely that I'll see that little bit of joy dying. Worth it to never see that thing again!

So I have three kids and the wife left me to deal with the elf on the shelf tonight. ..So of coarse, it’s going to be doing something with my tank….Well in the process of putting his little fishing pole in his lap, the stick went through one of the slats for my fans on the light and completely demolished it! So let this be a Christmas warning on what that little elf from hell can be capable of! One of the kids don’t know it yet, but there getting new lights from Santa this year lol! Bah humbug!

Fun idea, but ouch!!
