On a recent trip up to Jersey for work a coworker and I stopped at every LFS possible in central/north New Jersey. The one stop that blew us away (and has spoiled us to the point of disappointment with every shop at home now) is Elos AquaStudio.
As soon as we walked through the door it was like what a kid feels the first time through the gates at Disney. I stared at every tank amazed at how clean all the tanks were, how healthy all the livestock was and the assortment was phenomenal. The shop owner, Larry, greeted us and stopped his water changes to take us on a little tour of the shop (this is unheard of in Baltimore, probably true for almost everywhere). After seeing all the creatures and corals in the front of the store we went behind the register area and that's when I was really amazed. Tanks that were set up like displays with an awesome selection of vibrant and healthy corals. We made our selections and thanked Larry for taking the time to walk us through and for giving us the best LFS experience to date.
If you live near NYC or are the type (like myself and jhoffa92) that is willing to take a road trip to find "that shop" do yourself a favor and put Elos AquaStudio on your list.
