Elos Diamond 120 (90g) Build

Man... Elos is still top of the line. I always talk about buying one but then I always chicken out because of the price..... but the quality is superb

It's a good looking tank for sure.

I normally don't splurge but plan on having this for a long, long while.

do you plan on taking down the pictures behind the tank ?
the salt spray will destroy them

That isn't actually where the tank is going to go.

My current tank is in this tank's spot.

Part of the element of difficulty is moving it out of it's spot before I can place my new tank in it's permanent spot.

I appreciate you looking out for me though! Wife wouldn't be too happy if I destroyed baby pics...;Blackeye

Does anyone know what fittings @Jerel used incorporate a ball valve in his flexible drain hose as pictured below?

I have a gate valve that I'd consider doing the same to.

Was planning on hard plumbing the drain but have read some folks say they had difficulty matching the threads coming out of the tank.

@chefjpaul do you remember this?

I think he just used the right size ball valve and glued the flex hose into the female ends? He took the handle off the ball valve so it looks a bit different.

Thanks Matt.

Didn't know you could glue that hose directly into a valve like that.

Ended up trying just standard threads on the drain and they fit fine so looks like I'll be able to hard plumb after all.

Or maybe he had a short piece of pipe coming out both ends of the valve and the flex pipe glued onto the pipe.. haha im not sure now.

Hard plumbing sounds good, should be nice and neat!

Been playing with some rocks lately.

Think this is the scape I'll go with:

Trying my best to not be too crowded. Will probably shift things a little bit closer to the front but want to have a nice amount of space between the rock and the glass.

Couple of different angles for reference.

Got a little messy with the reef cement but figured I'd rather have too much than not enough.

Here's to hoping that's the case!
