I have a tank that partially lit by sun...i mean it get lots of sunlight..a week back i got a gsp frg from a friend...my problem is now that gsp is open when it gets sunlight only...it opens around9am and closes around 4pm...any advice

It’s not an emergency
I would move the gsp to a area where the tank doesn’t get lit by the sun and let it adjust

The direct sunlight is Not good for tank. Will cause an algae outbreak and also warm tank to high temperatures.

What is your salinity as GSP does not like low salinity ( they are best in 1.025-1.026. If they respond well to the light of sun, perhaps bring whites up a Little and what is tank temp, when sun is not hitting tank?

Move it into a higher lit area of the tank, increase white light. Mine love light and magnesium but they close up for days for apparently no reason. If you want them to grow on the tank wall- make sure your light reaches there well, and make sure you have some coraline or a rough patch so it can cling.

agree natural sunlight is good for coral but not so much for the tank. Increase temp and algae issue. Corals love it.

Welcome. Thanks for joining.
