I looked over and saw my emerald crab riding my torch coral tentacles … I just bought this and he usually sleeps in an anenome and now he went up to my new torch which is far from home.

will he eat it ? The tang scared him and he fell off right when I noticed but now he’s sitting against it.

he made it shrink up too

Just noticed one of the sides of the torch skeleton look rough right under the tentacles and not super smooth, would he of been picking at this ?

Maybe banish him to the sump for a little?

Caught him nipping my GSP. To the sump he goes . Loved having him in display for a day lol

He will definitely eat it.

Hmm interesting, mines a model citizen. Never touched a coral but has decimated all of my bubble algae. I suspect, its probably attracted by dead/dying tissue. My emerald never bothers new corals but my hermits and sexy shrimps do. Just gotta make sure they’re target fed vigorously and they should leave the new corals alone. After about a week once the corals have adjusted, the crustaceans generally dont bother them at all.
