Emerald crab lost??

Have a small EC for about 1 1/2 weeks...I saw him once when I moved a piece of rock...no idea if he's alive, happy, dead...Is this typical...are they more nocturnal than diurnal?...Like to know what to expect from him in my 10 fusion...

Mine tends to hide and come out late at night. I haven't seen mine for months, then all of the sudden he's out and about

If you sneeze by the tank they will vanish for weeks! (joke).
I have between 5 and 8 in my tank, they are very shy and mostly nocturnal.

Mine went missing for a year and only showed up when I got a new one. That was awkward.
