I've had this weird Emerald Crab for the longest time and he's not acting like an Emerald Crab he's acting like a Coral Crab! I moved him from his Coral on some Bubble Algae I want him to eat but instead of eating the Bubble Algae he walked right back to his Birdsnest?! When I try to frag my Birdsnest he'll even try his hardest to pinch me I'm thinking either I have a defective Emerald Crab or it's a Mimic Coral Crab

Mine ate up a whole colony of Clavularia while I was on vacation, confirmed via security cams... death penalty applied to him.

Got any pics?

Google Tetralia cymodoce and Trapezia serenei.

We have a emerald too! He loves to take up residence in our torch and will go steal goodies from my sun coral when I'm not looking. He's naughty! But he did take care of our long hair algae problem. Very optimistic. Lots of character!

Mine won't touch algae at all! He just sits in the birds nest all day long.

Ours has hairy legs, body and claws are smooth some bumps on the back. Here is ours. He hangs out during the day and goes out at night. Sometimes I put some seaweed up there forit to snack on during the day. Maybe see if he will take some? Have you noticed any polyps missing

nah i believe that is incorrect. mine is an emerald crab and definitely has furry legs. mine also hangs out in a birdsnest and defends it with his life. little bugger never moves.

wow really? I thought my emerald crab was just a weirdo... One more question, Does yours molt? I've had him for 1 year and he hasn't molted since he decided he wanted to protect the birds nest.
