Emerald Crab safe?

I got an emerald crab about 2 weeks ago, and I have noticed that after the lights are out, he climbs up to the top of my branching montipora frag. Have emerald crabs been known to eat sps? or is he just liking it up there?

It is hit and miss with crabs effecting corals. Keep an eye on him.

My first one loved acans. Second one seems to not have developed the taste for much more than a lil bubble algae.

Allot of people will swear that they can go rouge and start eating corals. I have had several and while I have seem them picking in and around my corals I never saw them cause any damage. This was just my experience however perhaps I have been lucky IDK. The biggest issue I always had with them is just keeping them alive long term.

I have never had a emerald bother corals but I have had one that had a taste for small fish.
