This is the first in this tank but second one I've owned. Both turning white within a week after introducing them to my tank. What gives? I've never seen a crab do this before.

Sounds like there isn't enough algae for it to eat. I've had 3 that turned white then died

I'm feeding it 2-3x a week, takes the algae wafer right from the tines, besides the bubble algae, a small clump of HA and detritus that's in the sump. What else do they eat?

Not my pic, mines more white.

Mine did the same, and I don't know if the lack of algae was the reason, but I didn't have any algae in my tank so maybe.

What happened to the crab? I got an emerald crab today and in the store I did not realise how white he was until I got home....he's gone straight to town on some GHA though.

I've read its todo with molting???
