So right before i was going to bed tonite i did my routine check on the tank. And this is what i saw! I dont know if it was eating the polpys or just chilling. Either way i put it in the sump. I will know if the coral is missing any polpys in the daylight. Just a friendly warning to check your tank at nite.

Emerald crabs are a 50-50 shot in the dark...... I got real lucky and mine before he passed on at the size of a quarter. He never bothered any of my corals. I kept a close eye on him just from the sake of it can happen with them. From others posting that their emeralds were eating polyps or nibbling at them. I was like oh crap, I better watch mine. If yours is, don't wait, and put him in the sump. So ya can sleep better at night. Lol

yea. I had them to get my bubble algae problem, I'd suggest to get them out as soon as they solve the algae issue.

I never had a problem with 2 of mine. They lasted for about 18 months, and then they quit molting, kinda turned gray, and then passed away. I fed them nori daily. So they were never hungry. I have seen them picking right between my zoas before, I freaked at first, but never actually harmed anything.

Here is a video of me feeding one of them
