I like emerald crabs even just to watch. The one I currently have eats bubble and all sorts of stuff but I’d still like it if it didn’t eat bubble. Always cruising around pinching rocks. Idk I just think they are cool.Just because? Or do you need one for bubble algae? They are hit and miss there.

I have a hair algae issue and someone recommended me get one for that. Not sure what to do. I tried altering my light schedule, feeding less. And nothing seems to work. I also started using phosguard to lower my phosphates. I need help.Just because? Or do you need one for bubble algae? They are hit and miss there.

GHA is common and emerald crab won't help that. Snails and urchin will along with daily manual removal.I have a hair algae issue and someone recommended me get one for that. Not sure what to do. I respectfully disagree. In my experience, emerald crabs are a good component for keeping gha at bay. Urchins as well for sure. Snails too.GHA is common and emerald crab won't help that. Snails and urchin will along with daily manual removal
I agree diversity is key. Maybe I had lazy crabs then.I respectfully disagree. In my experience, emerald crabs are a good component for keeping gha at bay. Urchins as well for sure. Snails too.
I don't think there's one key cuc and variety is best. Personally,I stay away from hermits. They often steal food from coral.
FluxrxI have bubble too but my LFS said don’t do emeralds too much risk. I have a 25 gallon so I can’t do a fish for bubble so what else is left??
Did they starve , I clipped nori on the sand bed ,but it still crawled out of the tank ha haI had a few and I enjoyed watching them, but they did not make it long. Not sure what happened to them.
