EMERALD CRABS

I have some bubble algae in my tank. I've been turning off all the flow and siphoning out as much as I can. (It's not to bad, I would just like non). I have a 70 gallon tank. I wondering if I should get some Emerald Crabs. I think they look cool, but keep hearing more bad that good. I do have some soft coral, cleaner shrimp. thanks for the feed back

Yes, they can make short work of bubble algae. Try to get the female ones.

I have several in my mixed reef. As long as they are true emeralds you shouldn't have any issues. Mine are great for nuisance algae. Best of luck

My experience with them suggests that they are reef safe and will eat bubble algae, but may become coral-eaters when there isn't enough algae for them. Feeding some nori regularly should prevent this.
