My Emerald Mummy Eye isn't looking too hot since the past couple of days. Its starting to lose its green, and maybe brown, not sure. At night the tentacles still come out to feed. Its currently on the bottom somewhat close to the edge. I also have several other chalice, that are keeping great color like bazooka joe, original mummy eye, and others. Just want to know where everyone else has theres. I have it under 150W 14k Phoenix in my 28g NC, gonna move it soon to a smaller tank with 150W 20k Radiums. Think I have too much light or too little light? Thank you.

hmm, Ill try and move more towards the center and give it some more light.

Thank you for the responses

I was always told that the emerald mummy eye was a low light chalice. Am I miss informed?

That's what i thought too but all my chalices are under 250mh in a 29gal with no problems.

I'm not saying that most don't do well under high lighting, but the EME I thought did best under low light. Do you have the EME? If so what kind of colors are you getting. Maybe I need to move mine up.

Picture of mine.

Here is mine under low light.

Thanks. It went from 12ish eyes to over 20 in a couple of months. I'm curious to see if I'm getting the correct colors on it.

Hey fastandsneaky, I'm having the same exact problem with my bubblegummonster. I bought it with one eye 6 months ago, then another eye pop out 2 months later. Color and growth was doing great until just a week ago when 3 more eyes pop out and now 1/3 of chalice is bleaching but tissue is not coming apart. Don't know what is wrong.

I would move it to a low light low flow area seems to help when chalice are stressed. You might also want to check for something eating/bothering/stinging it.

Anyone want to share their pictures of the EME, I want to compare colors and lighting intensity.
