Hi guys, i have quite a few chalice in my tank and many are getting 400+ par but this guy has turned tan but its eye's have gotten huge and bright red, is it getting to much light? Also i've noticed my tyree le bgm has gotten HUGE eye's now as well. It is still a brilliant green though. Any clue as to whats going on? These two are pry getting the most light in my tank chalice wise. My other chalice are getting around 200-250 par. These two are pry at 450-500 par. I can move them so they get less light, but if i leave them will there eye's keep getting bigger and bigger like they have been?

I know most don't but the bgm has always grown much better under pretty intense light. My others don't get nearly as much light as that guy, but whats with the eye's getting so large? Its like they are forming ultra large eye's! It had 9 eye's but they are doing some voltron connection to form the master eye : ()

hahahahah voltron connection hahahahah awesome... Just the nature of the chalice growing random sized eyes. Once a chalice frag gets past a certain size, they will usually start putting out different shapes and sizes of eyes... sometimes we never know, because we never see a mother colony :D

Yea, i think i'll drop down the mummy eye but will let the bgm keep doing its thing unless it starts to loose color, then it gets dropped. It was at 300-350 par and was doing well, but once i got rid of the nasty frag rack i put it under normal tank light, which was around 450-500 a few inches off the bottom. Then the eye's started to voltron. Corals, fun stuff.

How did this change do for your ME Chalice? I have one also that is doing the same thing, however it was not in bright light. It also has edges that are slightly brown. Is this normal for a Mummy eye chalice that is growing out?
