I got this little guy with some corals today. My first guess is an Emerald but it seems the easy answer sometimes misses for me. [emoji16] Anybody have a definitive ID? Thanks ahead of time for any and all perspectives.

They don't have the total curve like the live aquaria shot.

When it gets to pincher it narrows down. Don't know if thats considered "pointed" or not.

Also seems to have more "hair" or filaments than my other emeralds. Thats what led to me questioning my first call.

I am a (semi)expert and I can say that it's either an Emerald or the related Hairy Emerald.

Does your sump have lighting/algae? Otherwise he'll have a difficult time keeping himself fed down there.

lol I think all the crabs are inbreeding just to mess with us!

I dont think he a risk to your fish... especially how small, corals not likely but more a matter of food.

He looks like one in mine.... only mine is more white. Havnt managed to get him out.....so..

I think they are definately plotting a takeover. I got some with my cuc and already decided if they pass I won't replace them. Got one that I actually found on a rock in sump (white one) and now got one hiding in a new acro clump. They are gaining ground on me.
