Hey Reef2Reefers ,
I just purchased this guy from the WWC cyber Monday madness and wanted to know if these are a pretty fast grower? I have been feeding it a squirt of coral frenzy once a week during night time when the tentacles are out. It's a very nice looking frag but just curious to how long before it starts looking more like a colony And less like a frag?

Thanks
Bobby

I have a rainbow platygyra, slow growth it started with about 3-4 eyes. You can see growth on the plate I put it on. I've had it going on 1 year from reefapalooza Orlando 16.

Very nice looking coral you got there , thanks for sharing the info

Glue yours to a larger frag or plate, I find this works better that placing on the sand.
Does the same thing happen by putting the frag plug it's currently glued to on a rock?

Yes, it will grow down the sides of the plug and attach to whatever surface is below it. I haven't attached mine to my display tank rock yet. Waiting until i frag this one soon. [emoji4]

Cool, I'm gonna let mine chill in the sand for a while longer before I move it since it looks nice and healthy. When I first received it the water felt like refrigerator water and the frag looked questionable so I'm guessing it went through a lot of stress so giving it a nice break is prob a good idea. Here's a pic of what the frag looked like when I received it.

Wow! I always tell friends not to order frags in the winter months for this reason. Did it color back up? First pic has too much blue light to tell.

Sorry the blue light does kinda ruin photographs but the dark parts have a emerald green tint and the liquid looking blue center is actually a pinkish purple color
