I have a harlequin tusk that brought ich to my tank.. I noticed it four days ago. At least I thought it had ich. The next day he had no spots.. The next day which was yesterday he was covered again.. I took him out and did a 2 minute freshwater bath and placed him in a QT.. He looked so much better this morning.. Now he's laying on his side.. Before placing him in the tank I raised temp a little as I read to do so for ich and placed copper in the tank.. Then I placed him in the tank.. Please help me save this fish? Should I give him another fw bath? If so how long? Or will that cause him more stress? The pics are of him late last night.. I will post more soon

I wouldnt adjust the temperature, keep it steady were you have it now. Also you did a freshdip then the spots came back right away? Yea try to post pictures

No the first night I noticed it, the next morning they were gone. Then the next day.. Back and worse.. That's when I did the fd..

Its going to be hard to tell but i think its velvet. Copper should take care of it effectively wether its ich or velvet. But velvet spreads very rapidly so i would get on treating it pronto. In order to effectively get a thearepuetic treatment i beleive the copper has to be like a .8 ppm to actually do the job but your going to want to start slowly as to not shock the fish and kill it with so much copper in one shot

If you have any other pics that are closer or of the actual spots it would be easier but copper should take care of either i believe

I do not.. I went to three lfs and no one has the cupramine.. So we are using lifeguard tablets:(

After putting it in the QT tank.. It looked as if the copper was causing a slimy coat which was falling off of him.. He may have both.. Now he isn't slimy and hardly any spots but he's obviously laying on his side:(
