I know its last moment notice, but i have had it with my tank. So im calling any and all members to show up to see anyone can help. My params are all spot on and so either its bad test equipment or something else that i cant figure out.

I have lost 11 acros worth well over $300 in the last month plus whatever other amount of acros i have lost throughout this year(est $1000+).

I will be home after 3:30pm tomorrow and home all day Sunday until 5pm. I understand this is a NFL football weekend and wish i could put this off to a different date, but just lost 3 more acros in 24hrs with atleast 2 more dieing rapidly so there not be another weekend before i just pull the plug for awhile.

I can offer gas money, food, drink or just plain cash for anyone who needs it to make the long trip here.
Any and all help that i get would be greatly appreciated.

PM for address

Thanks to all who can help
Greg

Where you at, Greg? On my phone and can't see location on my phone. I'm by no means "Top of the MTRC Food Chain" but I'd be happy to help with whatever I can.

I'm going to be there with some thing to test his tank we have been planning this since wed.of this week I'm going to be there tomorrow at about 4:00 so if you would like to help you can meet me there and we all can put our heads together and help Greg out and fix this

I have to work tomorrow, but should be free on Sunday as long as The Boss doesn't spring plans on me.

I would come out but I'm in Chattanooga this whole weekend.

Just something that popped into my head. Are you absolutely sure upon sure that your refractometer is calibrated correctly? Its always the last thing I think to check. If someone is going please bring your's and some calibration fluid to compare the 2

Nope, im not sure about anything. I do have calibatration fluid, actually 2 different types. Two different readings, one is 12months+ old, the other is brand new. Nothing major has changed within the past few days except i did a 30gal W/C wednesday. So it could be my salinty is off or something else giving me a bad test reading.
All i know is something is wrong and i dont know what it is so i can fix it.

Thanks
Greg

I dont know, i dont think so as i have felt stray voltage before with a faulty cooling fan.

But stray voltage is something i am testing for today just to be sure.

When I had stray voltage, I could not feel anything. I found it using a voltage meter and then unplugged everything one thing at a time. I have a meter if you would like to check.

I'm just up the road. Is there anything I can do to help?

Jim

Come on by around 4pm today or tomorrow before 5pm and bring any and all test equipment you got.
Either there something in my water. Or a bad test equipment or maybe its a hint that acros arent meant to be for me.

Either way, today and tomorrow i plan on testing everything i can with hopefully different test to compare. May send a water sample out to see if something is leeching into it.

At the this point i have no clue other than this is worse my tank has ever been and its in a freefall toward doom.

I got a ohm meter but whatever you got, bring it on by if you can so we can cross check everything

Keith has just left and problem was found within the first few minutes of him being here. A simple $20 or less TDS pen meter found the issue.
Without going into alot of detail at the moment. My water holding container had 350-360tds! The raw water coming out of the faucet is only 2!?!? I thought i had modified my rodi unti to work better but was actually making things alot worse with my modification.

A huge thanks goes to Keith and his family for coming out and helping me find a major problem and i should be able to get things back on track within a couple of months of water changes to drop the tds in my tank.
