Emergency or no??

My tisbe pods were ordered over a week ago. They didn't ship until Wed of this week. They were supposed to deliver yesterday (Fri). They are now out for delivery today. We had a flight to MD this morning and won't be back home until tomorrow afternoon. So, in all, that's 4 days in transit and 1 additional day since we won't be home until tomorrow. Total of 5 days in their shipping container. Will they even be alive?? I'm thinking they might die (if they haven't already) before we can get them into our culturing container tomorrow. Am I correct or do you think they will be ok? Thanks!

I’d say float the bag for a few hours unopened. Then check for any remaining life.

Well that's awesome. They gave us the run around for a week. One day they were going to ship, and they never did. They did this like 3 times before they finally shipped them. I'm going to be livid. That's all I am going to say. Lol

Pods can be refrigerated for a couple of weeks as they become dormant in cooler temps. They are typically stored in bottles until ready to feed tanks with them, in which I would feel they would be fine.

This time a year they may be okay. We raise and ship copepods commercially and I've seen them survive a week lost in the mail during the winter. BTW if you need some in a hurry let me know!!!

I hope so! We've been waiting on them to ship for almost 2 weeks, I believe.
