I have a 14.5 all in one reef that appeared to be leaking slowly i found it in the morning in a puddle so I rushed to the lfs and got a 20gallon I set it up last night and sure enough another puddle!!! I checked my 14 g and I dont see any cracks and seams and corners look fine. I filled it with water and I didnt see any leaks. I know the filter isnt leaking and the stand is level.

I am at a total loss and insult to injury I have 200$ worth of coral coming in tomorrow!

Any help would be AMAZING

It is unlikely that both tanks are leaking (or you’re just very very unlucky).

But you still need to figure out what’s going on. It might help if you posted some photos of your setup. It might be your equipment, for instance, is there a leak in the ATO line, or is there dripping along one of your wires?

If it were me, I would set the tank up where you can easily inspect it on all sides, and find where the water is coming from. If you really are at a loss, setup the tank outside and let it leak. When it stops leaking you know what level it’s at (or if it goes all the way to the bottom you know it’s there). Fortunately your tanks are small. Makes it much easier. Good luck!

The 14.5 (just drained after leaving it for about 18 hours) didnt see any wet spots

Another insult to injury I remembered I had what I thought was aquarium safe silicone and was just gonna grab all the edges but its GE Silicon ll anti bacterial... That is not safe right?

From my research I would not use that. From other sites:

Mildew-Resistant, Mold-Free, Bacteria Protection or Anti-Microbial
Silicones making these claims contain fungicides that may kill not only your beneficial bacteria but also your fish.

I noticed in your pictures you have 1 or 2 powerheads or wavemakers at the top. Are they somehow coming on full at night possibly splashing water out of the tank? Maybe crank you powerheads to full and see if it causes the water to "leak".

Its starting to look like I really am just un lucky
This is the bottom rim of this cruddy 20g... While the part seen as pictures is sealed (poorly) the back side is not and sure enough a very slow trickle of water is seeping

Definite no on the Type II silicone. You need Type I.

Big gap on every side... I feel I was better off with my first tank this is a ticking time bomb

This is the 14.5 gallon... Im so made I got it bc it was a cheaper version of the evo... The 1st one came in the mail destroyed then they sent me this one and it leaks... Worst part is the fluval evos price dropped to the same price as the knock off

So I dont have any silicon on hand but will be able to get some tomorrow. I do have some super glue gel that I think I'm going to try to band aid the 20 till the 14 is cured
