emergency preparedness in re to equipment

I had to deal with a protracted, yet scheduled, power outage yesterday. Aside from incorporating as much biofiltration as possible on the long term, I bought a powercell and chargeable air pump. It was $225 for a 300 watt cell (or indoor generator is what they're labeled as) and another $30 for the 4 year extended warranty. You can also buy solar panels for about $150. I was able to run my 2 LEDs, 2 PHs, and skimmer for 4 hours straight. Recharged for an hour at a neighbor's then back over for another 4 hours.
WHAT IS YOUR EMERGENCY PLAN???
