I have my water in the overflow that is just to the edge of the middle return. I adjust the know to put the water that high. But I'm not sure that maybe your issue.

When you say underneath are you saying in the sump or on the floor under the stand?

Can you see where the water is actually coming from? If you get in there with a flashlight you should be able to see some kind of dripping from one of the bulkheads.
Also, the water level in your overfloow looks too low, that can make it noisy. If you adjust the valve on the main overflow pipe in the sump clockwise, it should slow the flow and raise the water level.......which will in turn quiet it down (unless the water level gets too high....then the emergency overflow will start making noise as the "extra" water goes down that line)
For me, if I keep the water level about 1\2-1" below the emergency overflow pipe, it's perfectly quiet.

How it looks now . When adjust knob not sure which way helps water level rise vs fall on knob
Clockwise closes the valve, so it raises the water level in the overflow box. Counter clock wise opens it, so it lowers the water level in the overflow box.

Ok, but getting the overflow to be quiet isn't nec. going to fix your leak (I really don't know how it could tbh). I'd still look at the bulkhead from inside the stand and see if there's any water dripping down from the pipes.

It's hard to see in the image but the water should be barely flowing into the middle return. If it's making too much noise going into that one then turn the knob to the left a little bit. Right will make the water raise and left will lower. I sometimes have to adjust it depending on how much crap is in my filter socks. My water was a bit low until I went to take the picture so I had to adjust it.
But I'm still not sure that was the cause. Just see if there is more water in an hour or two.

I'd just check the pipes in the sump area where it meets the tank to see if it's leaking there. My return tube was until I tighten it down.
