Ok here is the quick rundown on what’s going on. I have a 28 gallon cube currently up and running for 6 years now. I ended up picking up a 93 gallon cube a few months ago. I got it up and running and the cycle is complete on it. I planed on just letting it run with pods and a few snails and hermits in it for a few months then move everything over from the 28. Well I just noticed I must have a small leak in the 28 because I got salt all over along the bottom seam and running down the stand. Do you think I will loose most of my SPS frags moving them over to the new tank? I can move a few of the rocks over to help it out. Sorry for the bad pictures and the mess as I’m trying to clean things up I started moving things over with out stopping to think I stepped back to collect my thoughts and thought I would ask on here

Try to match parameters between the two tanks and move over quickly! I think you’ll be ok

Did you notice the water level drop?
Are you sure that’s not just from splashing and evaporation ? Have you cleaned the salt and noticed it returned ?

Just double checking Because that’s a small tank for a seam leak. Not a ton of weight being held in there.

Yes I cleaned it off about 5 days ago and I thought it was from splashing. You can also see a little bit of water in between the trim and the glass.

Good thing you had that other tank as far along as you did !

Well thought out and I hope things go smooth for you. I would have done the same thing in this situation

I forgot to add that the tank is almost 20 years old. It was freshwater for about 10 years then sat empty for a couple years and now saltwater for almost 5 years.

Why wouldn't you move all of your old rock in the new tank?
