Chemi-pure elite ripped and was picked up by my return and sent all over the tank. Into corals and on the sand. Did my best and netted what felt like an hour worth of it floating around. Still some visible and plenty in the sand. At the moment I don't have time to do a watch change until tomorrow. Corals are open and fish look happy.

How bad?
What's the fix?
Will this kill corals and fish?
Thanks
Matt

If need be I can make an emergency move into my other reef tank. As a quick option.

It shouldn't provided they do not eat it. I have had stuff get out into the tank. Pain to clean, but nothing ate it. I would let it settle to the bottom with no flow and suck it up when you get a chance.

I agree with Denise. Net/Siphon out what you can but it shouldn't be a big deal if you can't get it all. It's carbon, GFO, and some resin. It shouldn't really cause any issues unless your fish/critters are eating it.

Thanks guys, not the best thing to occur before I head off to work. Luckily my clowns and 6 line seem to recognize the little white pellets aren't edible.

I'd still make an effort to remove everything you can see, but I wouldn't sweat it if you couldn't get it all out.

Another thing you might do for future is put a prefilter on your return or before the return section to prevent from happening again. Been there done that. Good luck!
