Help, I have digital ballasts for my MH's that when on, cause my temp controller to jump up and down randomly. How do I stop this? Thanks

* the controller is a reef keeper lite which never had issues before, I did try an Apex which did this problem a few years back and went back to the reef keeper. Since installing new icecap select a watt ballasts this problem started. My previous Galaxy ballasts only messed up the Apex.

Hmmmm...Since it was two types of ballast and two types of controllers I would focus what they all have in common. The obvious is maximize distance between any electronics and the ballast. The other question is does the ballast have a proper ground circuit - for example, are you in older house without dedicated ground wire or are you using two prong modifier?

Be sure if using EMI shields that you are aware of and manage the possibilities of corrosion, copper leaching, and heat build up on equipment.

I don’t use them. I just googled EMI protection but I understand what your talking about.
