If I had any doubt about the emotional attachment Fish have towards one another it has been proven to me in the last two months how attached they can be. First I was loosing cichlids to bloat. I found one dead one at the bottom of the tank. Its mate was lying right beside it, and refused to leave. Last night I fed my fish in my new tank. Two very small clowns who have been together for about 4 months. They are about 3/4 of an inch long. This morning one was missing. I looked every where no luck. I have an Aquion tank which I added an anti siphon assembly to thankfully. I turned off the pump. Sure enough there it was. For some strange reason they stay right by the inlet at the top . Will not go deeper. Anyway I retrieved it plopped it back into the main tank. They swirled around together like crazy. I had to smile
