Hoping to get some 1st hand knowledge on what corals I will absolutely need to get rid of before adding an Emperor. I currently have
4 triggers
2 groupers
1 squirrel fish
1 broomtail wrasse
1 Hippo tang
1 Japanese Dragon Eel
Here's a vid showing most of the corals, all expert help needed.

Acans, blastos and doughnuts have been a no-go (along with the occasional nuisance zoa). This should be taken with a grain of salt, ie: they are generally not reef safe.

The younger and smaller the fish - the best chance you have of him not developing any bad coral habits.

What corals your emperor may take to or ignore is very much a crap shoot. YMMV really applies here.

Ya it's a tough one especially since I can't add a juvenile ( since one of the current posse) is gonna cause a bad scene so it needs to be a good size. After more people chime in if I decide to go that route I'll sell off most of the euphylia's. The rest I'd probably just leave.

Mine leaves hammers and frogspawn alone. Ate or pestered all my Duncans and I can't keep zoas.
