Emperor Angelfish - What's on the menu?

I'm starting to stock coral after focusing on QT and stocking for my fish - I'm growing a lot of coraline, my nutrient levels are fairly stable at good levels (1-5 ppm NO3, 0.06 ppm PO4), but I have one catch... I have an juvenile emperor angelfish.

I was intending to focus on on SPS with this build, but my wife would like some coral with a bit more movement.

I know zoas and acans are probably bad ideas, but what about other LPS like favia, scolys, hammers and torches?

I think I'd be safe with hammers/torches, questionable about favia, and probably no go with scolys.

Anyone have any experience with these fish and coral compatibility? I know each fish is unique, but I'd like to hear some anecdotal evidence.

I once had a juvenile about 2 inches that never touched any corals. I had a bit of everything. He was the boss of the tank though despite being the smallest in a 300gal.. had him for a year before I had to tear the tank down due to a leak. Still had juvenile colours. Very personable fish!

Good to know. I wonder if that would have changed as it got older?

Definitely a possibility.. I also had established corals and don’t remember adding any new ones since I got the fish.
