Emporer with Pale area

Noticed tonight for first time that my Emporer angel has a pale are on one side. This fish has gone through 30 days of Copper Power and 14 days of general core laced food. He is currently house in a holding tank with an exposed heater. Fish is acting fine and eating fine tonight.

You mentioned "an exposed heater." Has the angel been brushing up or leaning on the heater? Could be a burn that has turned into a bacterial infection.

That is my thought. Not seeing any redness at this time to suggest infection. Water is pretty clean and has UV on it. Will throw in some seachem stress guard as it is pretty hrarmless. Have antibiotics if needed. Thanks

Yes that will handle internal parasites

I recently had a bout of flukes that were causing quite a bit of external damage that looked very similar to your post of the emp. So if you haven't dosed GC into the water column yet I would probably do so. It happened to an adult emperor as well but I don't have as good of photos.
Prior to GC:

72hrs after GC he was back to looking like this:

Good stuff! Make sure you do this initial dose and then a second dose 5-7 days later with a 25% water change just prior to the second dose.

Just to give an update. Doses GC last night and today Emporer looks great. Will still do second dose Monday after 25% WC on Sunday. Probably will be snowed in anyway so what better to do. Oh yea! Finishing my sump project! Thanks @HotRocks!

It looked awfully similar to my recent situation. Glad your fish is looking better, great news and good job!
