what are some of your favorite encrusting corals that add movement to your tank, and why?

i recently removed/traded a pretty big rock of GSP i had in my tank that was growing on the sand and slowly onto my main rock work - so it had to go, but now my yellow head jawfish is without a home. temporarily, i have made a home for it with some sandbed frag rocks (the ceramic kind that hold 3, 5, and 7 frags. i plan on using the frag plugs to put in encrusting coral, but was hoping to add movement to my tank as it is lacking that without the GSP rock. my GF suggested goni's/bernardpora's (one or the other, not both), so she got 2 frags while at RAPNY.

They encrust really nice and grow in an amazing array of colors.
do they encrust upwards? weird question, i know! but the GSP, once it took over the rock, would grow on itself and upwards. trying to avoid that this time.

I've got one encrusting and it's spreading out in a circular pattern, so I'd say maybe (if the conditions lend itself to it). But growth is a lot slower than GSP.

glad to hear its a slow grower! gives me enough time to get more goni's to fill up the space.

Leptastrea and psammocora, but "movement" may be a bit subjective.

Not much for movement, but I do have a branching cyphastrea and now a burning banana stylo on my back glass. The BB should have a little bit of movement with the pretty red polyps once it starts to encrust. I'll keep you updated!
The cyphastrea dosn't move at all, but it looks really neat as it's growing, just starting to branch a bit now.

i considered both, but was hoping for more flowy movement.
