Hello all

i have some montipora with some acros within the same rock, the moti has gained a big part of the rock; how do you gays control that encrusting coral advance?

Aptasia-X works really well. You can use it to target kill just about anything. I have used it on montipora with much success. Anything that gets covered will be dead, right up to the line where you stop, without killing the whole colony. You will have to turn off your power heads so you don't just blow it off the coral, for at least a few hours or so. That works well if you can't just break off the leading edge because it is still attached to a rock.

IMHO, it looks way more natural than any number of carefully separated specimens.

I second that. Just let them grow. Let nature take its course.
