Encrusting Corals better than Aiptasia X

Battling aiptasia at the moment. Nudibranchs worked last time, but stragglers must have survived the carnage. Waiting for the carnage to renew.

In the meanwhile, a fun observation. Encrusting corals (I have six different kinds of cyphastrea, leptos, etc) are the Honey Badger when it comes to Aiptasia. No Aiptasia on their turf at all. Aiptasia loves to mingle with zoas, climb on sticks and softies, and generally butt in on any party. But those tiny little encrusting corals are taking no ****.

LOL! We use ours to keep pesky zoas/ gsp away but I never thought of them for aiptasia control!

Blast them with aiptasia x but make sure you siphon it all out with some airline tubing. I haven’t seen aiptasia in a year

Don’t leave out the beautiful and talented Copperband Butterfly fish. Zero Aptasias!!!cool though with your encrusting corals.
