so im tearing down my tank for a new rebuild i have a barebottom set up my question is how do i get my encrusting corals off the bottom of the glass also off one rock without damaging them or killing them

What he's saying is they aren't going to come up in one nice clean section. It'll prob require scraping it off somehow. Have you tried getting any of it off already or is this a pre-game question?

Encrusting coral on glass bottom looks cool but when I broke down my 120 they had to be scraped off after everything was out of the tank.
Their is no easy way.
Here is what I had to deal with for reference. I was only able to save pieces.

Yeah pre game I have 3 that are actually like that green one you have on the bottom could i use a powerhead and blast it?

??? Don’t understand
Sorry, as others have now mentioned there is no special trick, you are going to have to try and pry them off the glass with a flat blade of some sort and it's likely they will come off in pieces, not a nice clean colony. That's for the glass encrusted. You won't be able to detach encrusted coral from rock. Just break up the rock as best you can to preserve the coral. Damage is inevitable. Killing is avoidable though.
